The Mariam Center -
R&R Collaborative Therapy is excited to welcome families to the Mariam Center in Overland Park. Our clinic is designed to provide collaborative, family-centered care in an environment that supports learning, connection, and growth while giving individuals opportunities to practice meaningful skills in a supportive setting.
Our team recognizes that progress does not happen in just one environment. Depending on an individual's needs and care plan, services may take place in the clinic, at home, through telehealth, or across multiple settings. This continuity helps make therapy relevant to the places and situations that matter most.
ABA Therapy
R&R Collaborative Therapy provides both in-home ABA therapy and in-clinic ABA therapy, allowing care to take place in the settings that best support each individual's needs and goals.
In-clinic ABA therapy provides a structured, supportive environment where individuals can learn and strengthen skills related to communication, social interaction, emotional regulation, daily living, and greater independence. The clinic setting also creates opportunities to practice skills with therapists and peers in ways that may not always be possible at home.
In-home ABA therapy brings that support into the individual's everyday environment. This can help families work on skills within familiar routines and situations while giving therapists opportunities to collaborate directly with caregivers.
For some individuals, care may include both settings. Skills can be introduced or strengthened during clinic sessions and then practiced at home with family members, helping individuals carry what they learn in therapy into daily life. Throughout the process, our team works collaboratively with families to ensure therapy remains individualized, practical, and connected to meaningful goals.
Speech Therapy — Coming Soon
Speech therapy is also planned for the Mariam Center. Speech and language services can address a variety of communication needs, including expressive and receptive language, social communication, speech production, and other skills that help individuals communicate and participate more fully in everyday life.
As these services become available, our team will continue emphasizing collaboration between therapists and families so that communication strategies and skills practiced during therapy can be reinforced at home and in other familiar settings.
School Consultations
R&R Collaborative Therapy also offers school consultations to help support individuals across the environments where they learn and grow. Our team can collaborate with families, educators, and other members of an individual's support team to better understand their needs and identify strategies that encourage meaningful participation at school.
As with all of our services, recommendations are individualized and centered on collaboration between the individual, family, and the people involved in their care and education.
Occupational Therapy — Coming Soon
Occupational therapy services are coming soon to the Mariam Center. The clinic is being developed with a dedicated occupational therapy gym where individuals will be able to participate in activities designed around their specific goals and needs.
Occupational therapy can support skills involved in everyday activities, including fine and gross motor development, sensory processing, self-care, play, and participation in daily routines. The future gym will provide space for movement-based and hands-on activities while allowing therapists to tailor sessions to each individual.
Diagnostic Evaluations — Coming Soon
Diagnostic evaluations are planned as another future service at the Mariam Center. Evaluations can help families better understand an individual's strengths, needs, and development while providing information that may help guide appropriate recommendations and next steps.
Our goal is to make the evaluation process informative and supportive, helping families better understand the results and how they may relate to future services and care.
Therapy Built Around Individuals and Families
The Mariam Center is more than a new clinic space. It is an extension of R&R Collaborative Therapy's commitment to coordinated, individualized care that considers the whole person and the environments where they live, learn, communicate, and connect with others.
As we continue developing the center and preparing additional services, we look forward to creating more opportunities for individuals and families throughout Overland Park and the surrounding community to access care in ways that work for them.
